Last updated: May 4, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Hook, Line, & Savannah (“HLS,” the “Platform,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Platform.
1. Who can use HLS
You may use the Platform if you’re at least 13 years old. You may create an account if you can form a binding contract with us under applicable law. If you’re creating an account on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind it to these Terms.
2. Your account
- Provide accurate and current information when you sign up.
- Keep your password secure; you’re responsible for activity on your account.
- Don’t share your account or impersonate another person, business, or entity.
- One personal account per person. A single person may also be the owner or member of one or more business accounts.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. Acceptable use
When using the Platform — submitting events, posting on a business profile, uploading photos, sending messages, or anything else — you agree NOT to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent content (including fake events or businesses).
- Post anything illegal, harassing, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or threatening.
- Impersonate another person, business, or organization.
- Infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Upload malware, attempt to probe the Platform’s security, or interfere with its operation.
- Scrape the Platform programmatically, except as our `robots.txt` allows for search-engine indexing.

You retain ownership of the content you submit (event details, business profile information, photos, comments, messages, etc). By submitting content, you grant HLS a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate, promote, and improve the Platform.
You represent that you own (or have permission to use) every piece of content you submit, and that it doesn’t violate anyone else’s rights.
5. Event submissions and moderation
Events you suggest are reviewed by our moderation team before they appear publicly. We may approve, edit, reject, or remove any submission for any reason, including factual accuracy, completeness, formatting, or fit with the Platform’s focus on Savannah, Tennessee. Approval doesn’t imply endorsement.
6. Business accounts
- Businesses must be real, legitimate operations and must accurately represent themselves.
- Newly-created business accounts are pending verification until reviewed. Verification may be granted, denied, or revoked at our discretion.
- Owners are responsible for the actions of every member they add.
- A business must always have at least one owner. The sole owner can’t leave without first promoting another member.
- We may archive or remove business accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.
7. Reporting and abuse handling
If you encounter content that violates these Terms, use the report button on the relevant event, business, or place — or email us. We review reports and take action when appropriate. Submitting reports in bad faith is itself a violation.
8. Third-party content
Event listings, business profiles, places, and similar content are submitted by users or curated from public information. We don’t guarantee accuracy. Always verify event details, business hours, and location information directly with the source before relying on them.Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we’re not responsible for their content or practices.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HLS and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100.00) or the amount you’ve paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater.
